NEWS OF REOPENING OF FCCTV STUDIO, NEW RULES AND THE COMING NEW FCCTV STUDIO
A Letter from Our President:
Dear All FCCAC Members, Public Access Producers, their Assistants, and other Volunteers,

We are all anxious for the reopening of the FCCTV studio, but in order to ready the facility in the safest manner possible to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we ask your patience for one more week. The studio will be open starting August 10th, by appointment from 9am-5pm.

The following rules set by the Falls Church School system in coordination with Michael Timpane, our station manager will be in full effect: with these restrictions in place to start:

1.      The station will be open to FCCTV Public Access Producers by appointment only, between 9am and 5pm, with appointments lasting a max of 90 minutes.
2.      Appointments must be made 24hrs in advance by emailing Michael Timpane, mtimpane@fcctv.net.
3.     Producers and crew should understand that it is impossible to disinfect all equipment and surfaces to eradicate tracings of COVID-19. Use of the studio and equipment are at the user’s risk.
4.      Everyone entering the studio must sign in with their name and contact info.
5.      Hands must be washed/sanitized before use of any equipment. Producers and crew are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer with them to the studio.
6.      Masks or face coverings must be worn at all times, unless on camera. Masks must be immediately put back on after recording stopped.
7.      No in-person on-camera guests allowed.
8.      Only one person allowed in the control room at a time.
9.      Only one crew member allowed in the studio during a recording.
10.  Only one person allowed in the edit lab at a time.
11.  Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet from others at all times, unless individuals are members of the same household.
12.  If you are in a high risk population, it is recommended that you refrain from using the studio.
13.  If you have any COVID-19 symptoms or do not feel well, do not enter the studio.

In addition, BEFORE USING ANY FCCTV FACILITIES, all producers will be required to sign the FCCAC PRODUCER RULES AND REGULATIONS which were sent to you earlier.  If you can't find your copy, email Mr. Sherretta and he will resend them to you.

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Robert Sherretta

Also, we want to remind everyone, that early next year (if all continues to proceed as expected?), the new Falls Church High School will be completed and our brand new FCCTV studio within it.  To learn more about the appearance, dimensions, new capabilities and other details, we urge you to watch the presentation that was delivered by FCCTV's own Senior Videographer (and acting manager), Michael Timpane. This presentation was video-recorded and can be seen at the link below, which is part of our FALLSCHURCHCABLEACCESS YouTube Channel.
Don't hesitate to send me your questions or reach out to Michael Timpane directly at the station.  That is all for now, but we hope to see many of you soon, back at our station.
Sincerely,
Robert Sherretta, President of the FCCAC Board of Directors
