BEcome A FCCAC underwriter

Do you know one easy way to promote your business on television, which will go “on-air” throughout their Northern Virginia broadcast footprint.
There is one way to make this possible: To become an Underwriter for the Falls Church Cable Access Television Corporation.  This is an opportunity for a business such as yours to support our Non-Profit and the Public Access Producers that we represent, and to directly reach out to potential clients using our own local access television channels: Cox Channel 11, RCN Channel 2, and Verizon Channel 35.
Download our document with more info and a sign-up form here. Please email the form to Robert Sherretta at INTERINV@aol.com or call him at (571) 340 8479 if you have any questions about the program.

Reaching Out to Members

FCCAC has created a Facebook Members Forum for members to be able to discuss their programs and ideas with each other. We know it takes more than one person to produce a program and finding help can be difficult, but don't let it stop you! The forum is a great place to recruit your fellow members to join you on a shoot or to ask questions about issues you're facing. There is likely to be another member who has faced a similar issue and can help you through it. So please join the Facebook Members Forum today.

Put Your Show On YouTube

FCCAC manages a YouTube channel dedicated solely to the Public Access Programs on FCC-TV. We encourage you to take advantage of the channel and post your productions online, but we do not automatically publish program online. If you wish to have your programs on YouTube you may email us at info@fallschurchcableaccess.org and we will create a Playlist just for your show within the Falls Church Public Access TV channel and add you as a contributor so that you can upload your program directly. In the email please include the title of your production, as it will be the title of the playlist, and the email address associated with your YouTube account.

Always check the Recommended upload encoding settings for your video before you upload it to YouTube.

Writing a Press Release

Only you know how best to talk about your production! So, Public Access producers are responsible for writing Press Releases to announce their productions, should they wish to do so. Below you will find a template that contains FCC-TV's logo and the FCCAC point of contact for press as well as our basic information to be included. You will replace the Lorem Ipsum Latin text with information about you and your show.

If you need tips or pointers on writing a great press release, check out this article from Raindance.

Create a Program Flyer

Producer Melissa Robison created a flyer for the program "Faces of Falls Church." You are welcome to utilize the flyer for your own programs. Simply open the document in Microsoft Word. Right click on the images and select "Change Picture" to use your own logo and images. Create your own description and you're done.

Plus you'll have information on the FCC-TV station and FCCAC membership that producers are often asked.
